Back in the groove of things

This weekend was so hard for me. Usually I make a smooth transition from "binging" or not following points to back to journaling and drinking my water. But for some reason I was rebelling. A part of me didn't want to have to worry about watching what I ate, and a part of me didn't want to "deny" myself certain things that I could eat but really shouldn't. But I made it through.... using about half of my flexpoints but I got through it.

I got myself straight to the gym after dropping Molly off and did 30 min elliptical, 20 min. treadmill and then a 1/2 hr free weights. I left that gym feeling completely enpowered. I'm in a place right now that has me feeling I'm on top of the world. To top it off, I've already had 6 cups of water today, only had an apple for breakfast, therefore leaving me with many points left for the day. Right now I'm eating a huge salad with my homemade croutons, imitation crabmeat, cucumbers and red peppers. I'm trying to focus on eating real foods. Trying to stay away from the granola bars for breakfast and instead going for the fruit. Salad with a possible sandwich for lunch, and a healthy dinner, which I'm usually good at anyway.

And go figure, whether from water weight or not, my scale and the gym scale is already showing me down almost 2 pounds. Its amazing how much I can feel the difference in my clothes too. Just gaining a few pounds makes my pants a bit snug.

Cheers to a good week everyone!
